Batu is a Los Angeles based composer, orchestrator, and arranger, working on some of the biggest animation, action, and sci-fi projects in Hollywood. He’s been working alongside Oscar-nominated composer John Powell since he moved to Los Angeles and his music can be heard in Joe Wright’s Pan (Warner Bros.) and Universal Pictures’ latest installment of the action-thriller series, Jason Bourne, animated feature Ferdinand (Fox/Blue Sky), Disney/Lucas Film's Solo: A Star Wars Story as well as DreamWorks Animation’s final installment of the How to Train Your Dragon series. His orchestrations supplemented many projects including on The Book of Life, Sener’s music has given life to several award-winning short films and numerous television series as he continues collaborating with composers all over the world. His music and arrangements have been featured in several live performances (including at the Hollywood Bowl, Walt Disney Concert Hall, Elbphilharmonie Hamburg) and records. Sener recently released a studio album titled 'Lugano Impressions' and a single titled 'LII Dies Tenebrarum' and his latest film works can be heard in 20th Century Studios' The Call of the Wild.
A native of Izmir, Sener was an accomplished pianist growing up and he holds bachelor’s degrees from the Royal Schools of Music and from Berklee College of Music as well as his master’s degree in composition from Columbia College Chicago.
